Are you all aware of this. The feature length DVD release starts shooting this summer - hopefully to release before the end of the year/. Fans REJOICE.

Something tells me the sales of this film might just be the test marker for a possible ressurection (so to speak) of the series. Ellen and Crystal appear to be confirmed participants, in any case.

Delores dies - She is far too wonderful a character to lose, Would rather she remain George/Millie's connection to the living world than become a reaper.

Crystal revealed as a reaper - perhaps, or even better as the Head Reaper/Angel of Death/Deliverer of the list/ GOD herself.
Roxy's boyfriend
Rube romance with a living person - I love it when the leader/father breaks the rules.
Cynthia Stevenson hints on the DVD commentary that she would love to see Joy and Rube form a relationship, or a close friendship.
Daisy's backstory - Are her hollywood stories true? Did she have a sister who was murdered? Was she herself murdered.

Life is over for the series "Dead Like Me," which Showtime has canceled after two seasons, according to sources.
The afterlife drama, starring Mandy Patinkin and Ellen Muth, premiered last year on the premium cable channel to relatively strong ratings and some critical acclaim. But the second season this year failed to sustain the buzz.
The end of "Dead" could be a signal that Showtime president of entertainment Robert Greenblatt wants to clear some room on the schedule for more than one of the new pilots he is considering for series treatment. Among the contenders are terrorist drama "The Cell" and the cop drama "Hate." A decision is expected next month.

1st Season DVD set

Maybe it's just me, but did any of you have a problem with your 1st season sets? Mine runs fine, but on ALL of the discs the only sound you get is the background music and the sound effects (gun shots, water and the like) but no talking!! It's like they left that audio track out.

Dead Still Walks The Earth?

Despite reports of its demise, Showtime's supernatural series Dead LIke Me may still have a little life left in it, according to a report by TV Guide Online's Michael Ausiello. MGM's television president, Hank Cohen, told Ausiello: "We are exploring every opportunity and option that we have available to us. It's a terrific show, and, contrary to what [Showtime president Robert Greenblatt] told Variety [on Dec. 21], our producers don't feel like we've even begun to explore all of the Reaper opportunities that we have."

Cohen added, "We have a very, very loyal fan base, and I'm going to do everything I can for these fans to make sure the show lives on. The irony of all this is that Dead Like Me is a metaphor for second chances, and we're hopefully going to find one."

Cohen told TV Guide that a final decision will be made within 45 days.

The Hollywood Reporter, citing anonymous sources, earlier reported that the show was being canceled after two seasons.

When one becomes a reaper to take the old ones place

Not to make a sissy in everyones cheerio's, but there was something that I could never figure out with certain reapers. George's click of reapers: Their particular assignment is "External Influence", murders, suicides, toilet seats falling from the sky. All of the reapers stories have been told to some degree. Rube's, Betty's, Roxies...you get the idea. I'm not gonna do roll call. The point I am getting at is something happened to the guy who reaped George. And as the circle of life..er death goes, he in turn reaps until he gets "promoted. Hence George becomes the reaper. Here is the point finally. Skater boy who reaps animals(Sorry his name has slipped my mind at the moment) How did he become a reaper? Yes I know he got hit by a car which is how he died and became a reaper. But the person who reaped before him...were they also an animal reaper? And also this just sprung to mind. Penny, a natural causes reaper. Was she reaped due to death by natural causes? I would love to know their stories as well. I am not one to dwell on plot holes but I was just wondering if anyone else in the tribe realized this. Ok I'm done..I'm going now hehe

I don't know how many of you are [dead] like me (sorry, couldn't resist the pun), but I am generally curious about my tribes' moderators interests and so forth and I am embarrassed that I just realized that I had never completed mine. I don't really know why I didn't get around to it shortly after I joined tribe.net, but I have actually not been online here for several months because I first got really busy with being laid off (thanks Dubya) - I am employed again - then I had a lot of computer problems. All is well again <knocks wood> and I plan to me more active here and in my other tribes. I look forward to getting to know some or all of you better and I invite you to check out my profile now that there is one :)

Joy's new job

I found it fascinating that Joy got a part time job at George's workplace...especially when she paused by George's cubicle. Doesn't George have a photo of herself and Reggie up by her computer? For a moment I thought Joy would see that, but I guess not.

I hope that plotline gets pursued in the future.

So I finally got my cable turned back on blah.

I am so in love with episode #18, the one where Daisy reaps the man in the plastic surgeon's office; I actually cried at the end of that one.

and I so wanted to watch the finale tonight, but my husband made me promise i'd watch it with him (on demand) tomorrow, since he has to work tonight bah!

Rube has been passing out post-its for a long time (over 30 years). We don't know until how recently Yeardley Smith's character (the natural causes reaper) worked for Rube's team, but Kiffany remembers her.

Assuming they have been going to der Waffle Haus for, say, 15 years, doesn't Kiffany catch on that they don't age? I know if you see someone everyday you don't notice, but upon seeing the natural causes reaper after a long time had passed, wouldn't Kiffany find it odd that the natural causes reaper hadn't aged? Or is Kiffany part of 'the system'?

Is this the last season?

At the end of the last few episodes it keeps counting down to "the last X episodes of the show".

I can't find anything on whether the show is coming back again or if it ends in 3 episodes.

Anyone heard or know anything? I would miss the show. Great writing allowing a wonderful cast to really shine. And some very imaginative deaths.

I thought george had it bad dying at 18, but the one character that really got a bum deal has to be the little skater kid. Dead 6 years and he's reaping animals, wow! I remember him from the season finale, I hope they bring him back again so we can learn more about him.

George - she totally deserved that reap. what is with that guy's music tho?!?!
George's greandma/reggie - BRILLIANT AND FINALLY. IT is about time we saw some kind of emotion and familial greaving over george's death.

It seems to me like George blamed herself a little when they all were doing the big 13 at once reap. She (Millie) couldn't make a decision about who to send over there and I guess she thought maybe that's why he shot eveyone. I think she felt partially to blame. At least that's my opinion. What do you guys thinks?

This week's episode was fantastic. One of the highlight's was Daisy's (Laura Harris) performance, her character was very kind and thoughtful, her best performance to date. I'm really enjoying the development of her chracter this season, it seems as the sexpot has some actual substance.

I noticed in the ads for the second season (the "Anticipation" ad particularly), George looks all glam?

I *liked* the fact she was just a smidge over average looking; she also has a unique look to her. But in those ads she looks like one of a million J Ho wannabes. :(

Just curious to know what everyone thinks of the new season so far...

I personally find it disappointing that Mason relapsed so quickly, but I also have to admit that his being pathetic is rather essential to his antagonistic relationship with Roxy (and everyone else, but especially Roxy). I would guess that he will eventually straighten up if/when the relationship between him and Daisy develops more. I like the character development of Roxy becoming a cop (even more potential for her to go aggro on stupid people), but won't it be weird if she ever gets "fatally" wounded in the line of duty and doesn't die or even really require medical care? I love that George is starting to have some "normal" teenage experiences, but I feel bad for her and even moreso for her little sister, Reggie, about their parents' divorce. And as always, Rube is great.

I'm pretty indifferent to and sometimes annoyed by Daisy Adare. I never understood why they got rid of Betty and replaced with her. My guess would be that there were some real-life conflicts between the actress who played her - Rebecca Gayheart - and someone(s) else in the cast, but does anyone here know for sure?
